Community Hub
We have a wonderful space that can be utilised by our community. At present we have two different playgroups - one on Monday and one on Friday. We also have KindyLinQ on a Wednesday.
Our Community Hub Coordinator is Mr Brandon Alberts.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Branden Alberts the Community Hub Coordinator, I've been employed at Lakes Creek SS for over 2yrs now. I'm a proud Ghungalu decedent where I pay my respects to the Traditional custodians of the land where I live and work on and that's the Darumbal People. My role and duties include working with our students and their families Social Emotional Wellbeing connecting them to key community stakeholders and engaging early years programs at our Community Hub. I'm also the schools Health and Safety Advisor for all WHS related issues. I also take on the roles and responsibilities of our Rugby League Program which connects other small schools in our region to connect and make new friends whilst playing the sport they all enjoy. I also enjoy connecting our community with our first nations history by organising Reconciliation and NAIDOC week events. On a side note go the Cowboys!!

Playgroup
We have a wonderful staff member who leads our Playgroup on a Friday - Mrs Judy Mason. For the last twent-three years Lakes Creek State School has been embracing the community by holding a weekly playgroup for children aged from birth to pre-prep. Playgroup is normally conducted every Friday at the Lakes Creek Playgroup Room. Time 8:45am to 11:15am. Everybody is most welcome. For more information see our school newsletter or contact the school.
